WHAT BVV IS DOING!
CLOSE TO RETURN TO HOMEPAGE

We have commenced a Scholarship Award in the name of 1stLT Stephen H. Doane Chapter BVV to be given away annually at the Vittori Rocci Post Scholarship Dinner/Dance.  First Scholarship (*3) $500.00 commenced on 6/14/03
* one private donation in conjunction with BVV's two scholarships

We have begun cleaning of the Veterans Graves in the city of Beverly by having volunteers weed and clean around the markers and note which ones that have sunken below the surface or missing the veterans markers.

We have two additional Beverly residents who made the extreme sacrifice in Viet Nam and need to have their names and markers placed at the Doane Memorial at Beverly Hospital.  (2/5/07 Two plaques made for spring-time install.)

We want to continue to beautify the Memorial with the addition of a granite bench and landscaping.

We went to Washington DC for the twentieth anniversary of the Wall and was one of the most largest contingents of one club to do so.  We honored our namesake and those friends we served with whose names appear on the Wall.  (2/5/07 We are in the process of making arrangements for the 25th anniversary where a coach bus will be used this time)

We honor all veterans and offer our support to our men and women in uniform today as well as past and future enlistees.

We are trying to build a link between us and our local ROTC because that is where men and women learn respect for our flag and our country as well as themselves and a place were their Patriotism can flourish.  One of the scholarships is designated exclusively for an ROTC student.  Their academic achievements are incredible.  They do the ROTC program great honor.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA
